During the weekend of July 23rd, our PCA staff members Lynnette Morency, Samantha Pelletier, and Devin Rheaume attended the United States All-Star Federation (USASF) Northeast Regional Conference in Baltimore, MD. Our staff immersed themselves in the latest rule changes in our industry, new coaching techniques and drills, as well as ways to cater to our PCA family through new program offerings (which we cannot wait to share with you all). From classes hosted by Kristin and Victor Rosario of the Top Gun All-Stars to informational sessions with Debbie Love, a world-renowned tumbling and conditioning specialist, our staff is prepared to provide you and your child with a season of a lifetime!
During their last night of the conference, our staff members completed their USASF certifications which allow them to safely instruct all teams in our program. Their examinations not only emphasized the rules of each level but also ensured that our staff could properly teach the skills required for each division. Due to his knowledge of the sport and the USASF rules, Devin was also referred for a regional field tester position. This position would require him to assess other coaches to promote safety, integrity, and knowledge of the rules in our region.
What does this all mean for you and your child? Our knowledgable PCA staff can instruct progressions in each level to ensure the safety of your athlete and are qualified to dispute judging discrepancies at competitions. Their passion for sport was showcased throughout the entire weekend and they made connections with leaders of the industry to make sure your legend in the making has all the tools they need to be successful!
Thank you to our staff for taking time this summer to study for their exams and attend this conference. It’s a great day to be part of PCA!
